Helping our Scouting family in Canada

Dear Lewis and Clark District,

We are In need of donations for our Scouting family in Fort McMurray Canada .

As you know their community was destroyed by a devastating fire and most Troops And Packs lost everything . The Council here in Montana  has collected almost 1000.00 in monetary help but they are also in need of camping equipment as well.

September 15th 2016 is the deadline for collecting the goods they need , and here is the list as follows :
What – Items in Good Working condition only please!!!

– Tents 
– Sleeping bags 
– Back packing stoves 
– 2 burner propane or white gas stoves 

Drop off point : Either your DE or the nearest Scout Office .

OA Meeting on July 26

I wanted to remind you that we will be meeting Tues. 26 at 6:30 pm at the Scout Office to plan for Fall Fellowship. Please bring ideas, notebook or paper, and a scribble stick.  Uniforms not required, sashes preferred. Hope to see you then.

August (Free) Merit Badge Clinic

Game_DesignHi Scouts and Scouters! Mark King and yours truly (Stephen Boyd) will be leading our second annual summer merit badge clinic Monday August 1st, through Wednesday August 3rd. The merit badge this year will be game design. This merit badge explores nine different game mediums and their elements. Scouts will have the opportunity to design, introduce, and play a new game.

We will be meeting each day at The Salvation Army at 1000 17th Ave S. (across from the scout office) from 9am to 2pm. Please have your Scout pack a lunch.

July Roundtable 

Due to so much going on over the summer, there will be no Roundtable next Tuesday night. Please continue to check the calendar for district events and for all the Packs, remember, the summer time is full of awards for your pack and individual scouts! See you all in August!

July District Meeting

The Lewis & Clark district will not be having district meeting scheduled for July 5th. However, if you are a committee chairman, you will be contacted in preparation for August’s meeting.

August 2, 2016 will be our next district meeting.  Have a great July!
