Spring Camporee Results

Spring Camporee was Wet and Wild!

Well we survived another wet Spring camporee…. I was happy to see the great turnout and thank the gods that the rain stopped at all the right times to let us complete the events. I was amazed at see the teamwork I witnessed at the Tower building event. I was a bit worried as the tower was a bit shaky and looked nothing like the picture…..Mr. Locke. However it did look just like the one on the patch! We had a great turnout of 88 people! The set -up was a trying thing but the boys and adults held up and completed the tasks.

Congrats to the winners

First place…..Troop 14………………………………….$100.00 gift card

Second Place..Troop 28………………………………….$75.00 gift card

Congrats to Dave Cunningham from Troop 26 on winning the 1952 Dutch Oven Campfire Set with his Restaurant Quality Seafood Lasagna……and it was beautiful to look at as he uncovered it!

Thank you to the contestants who all cooked amazing dishes and made it hard to choose a winner.

Thank you to Mel and Ben and The Forest Service for the site and hospitality. The camp hosts even judged the Dutch Oven Contest

Daniel Colwell won the most helpful Scout award

He is from Troop 1152 winning a 500 Lumen Lantern much like the one used by old Caruso himself…………..
